Located along National Highway 228, the roadside rest area “Yokozuna-no-Sato Fukushima” is located in the Downtown Fukushima; the Town of Fukushima is the place where the Seikan Tunnel leads down to the seabed.
With “Yokozuna Chiyonoyama & Chiyonofuji Memorial Museum,” the rest area has a center to sell squid, of which Fukushima boasts the highest production volume in Japan.
Kokonoe Stable’s summer camp is held at this museum, and it is the unmissable sight for sumo fan.
