Space Apple Yoichi Central Hokkaido Area
Located along National Highway 229, on the bank of the Yoichi-gawa river closed to the junction of the national highway 5 and 229, “Space-Apple Yoichi” is the perfectly enjoyable facility with the Yoichi Space Memorial Museum “Space Dome,” farmers’ market and free activity corner.
At the Museum introduces the achievements of the first Japanese astronaut Mamoru Mori whose hometown is Yoichi.
Also, at the Museum with the “digital planetarium” displaying computer-generated starry sky on dome screen and 3D theater “2041 Solar System Mission”, anyone from adults to a children can enjoy.
The shop in the rest area provides more than 10 types of “space food” and, in addition to local processed seafood products and agricultural products, seasonal products unique to Yoichi well known as “Fruit Town Yoichi.”
