Star Plaza Ashibetsu Central Hokkaido Area
Located along National Highway 452 (National Highway 38 Bypass), the Michi-no-Eki “Star Plaza Ashibetsu” houses the city’s tourism and local product center on the 1st floor: Here has the tourist office to introduce the city’s events and attractions with showing the video, and also shopping space of local products with handicraft workshop where one can experience working agricultural products such as TOFU.
At the restaurant on the 2nd floor, you can enjoy dining while viewing the Sorachi river.
Also the public restroom on the parking space is the unique form shaped like a star as “Village where Stars Fall.”
In May, the farmers market called “Mom’s Market” is opened here.
At the Hoshi no Furu Sato Hyakunen Kinenkan, build to celebrate the city’s 100th anniversary, next to the Michi-no-Eki, there are the Star Dome to reproduce the Ashibetus’s beautiful starry sky on a PC and “Magic Vision Small Theater” that you can see the community life of works in the coal mine, so you can experience the 100 years of Ashibetsu here.
