Bifuka Northern Hokkaido Area

The roadside rest area “Bifuka” located along National Highway 40, was designed with the medieval European castle –like by Italian architect.
Behind the building, there is Bifuka Shinrin (Forest) Park in which Teshio River runs, and it has the outdoor field complex including hot spring, campground, and cottage.
This rest area boasts a variety of local products such as birch-sap-filled drink named “Mori-no-Shizuku” and croquette using Bifuka’s most famous potato.
Also, you can enjoy seeing rare sturgeon in the hot spring as well as relishing sturgeon cuisine.
