Mori to Mizuumi no Sato Horokanai Northern Hokkaido Area
The Town of Horokanai is well known as the town leading Japan in the production of “Soba (buckwheat).”
Summer provides a scenery of land filled with white buckwheat flowers and winter provides a scenery of the building with Scandinavian inspired look standing in snow filed.
Located along National Highway 275, the roadside rest area “Mori-to-Mizuumi-no-Sato Horokanai” is consisted of the visitor center “Seiwa-Onsen Ruonto”with “Sawayaka-Toire (restroom)” and “Bussann-Kan (Product Promotion Pavillion)” (opening in January 2003).
