This is the area’s main information center located at the junction of Sarabetsu-Makubetsu Line and Oda-Toyokoro Line of Hokkaido Prefectural Road and at the entrance of the Tokachi Speedway.
The tourism/product promotion center “Pipopa” which is named after telephone signal tone “Pi-Po-Pa” is the main facility, and it features the special product corner and the restaurant.
From June to November, the vegetable market is opened.
Around the rest area, there are the Tokachi Speedway, the drive-up campground “Sarabetsu Country Park,” the fishing-pond “Family Park Sarabetsu,” “Fukushi-no-Sato Hot Spring” and view point for rime.
