The roadside rest area “Aioi” is located along National Highway 240 which is the main artery between Kushiro and Abashiri in industry and tourism.
There are facilities which are rich in variety, including the product promotion center (Bussan-kan) selling homemade Soba (buckwheat noodle) using locally produced buckwheat flour, local agricultural products such as handmade Tofu made with local soybeans, and wood craft products, the exhibition pavilion using the former Japanese National Railways Kitami-Aioi Station, the exhibition coach which is remodeled as lodging, the Noson-Kouen (Park) with enjoying 9-hole Park-Golf.
