This rest area, 5 km from Doto Expressway Ashoro IC, is located at the intersection of the national highway 241 and 242 connecting the Kitami-Abashiti resion and the Kushiro-Tokachi region.
Until the Furusato-Ginga Line was disused in April 2006, it served as “Ashoro Station” and it had explored the historic township centered on here.
It has been left the look of railroad in the facility and the surrounding in keeping with its intention of keeping history day in and day out as transport and regional center.
